Position Title: Contracts Specialist II
Work Location: San Diego, CA
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Contracts Specialist II to work in a fast-paced defense contractor environment.
Responsible for cradle to grave contract management of Prism Sea Enterprise 3 Global Installation Contract (SE3 GIC) to include:
Monitor overall contractual performance to ensure compliance with Prism and Government requirements
Prepare, submit, and negotiate all SE3 GIC Task Order cost proposals to government customer
Gather data, organize, review and submit Task Order scope change documentation
Collect data, develop reports, and submit via the government database system (ModTracker)
Review contract/task orders, interpret and communicate requirements to internal customers including the Program Manager, Project Managers, Director of Contracts, and Executive Leadership
Monitor spending levels and coordinate with Program Manager/Financial Analyst to ensure Limitation of Funds correspondence is submitted
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure status of contract is communicated
Oversee, negotiate, and execute all Teaming Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, Consulting Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements relating to the contract
Coordinate and support the Operation and Subcontract Departments for contract and subcontractor requirements
Set up and maintain all required contractual information in Deltek Costpoint for assigned contract
Accomplish closeout of assigned prime contract Task Orders
Ensure paper and electronic files are prepared and available for review and audit
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Contracts
Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC and SECRET security clearance.
Certifications, Qualifications, Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
At least 15 years of contracts related experience in DoD/AIT Installations arena
Deltek experience required, CostPoint Version 7.1 a plus.
Extensive FAR/DFAR knowledge
Experience with CPFF, CPIF, FPI, and FFP contract types
Experience with DCAA and DCMA audits and compliance, including CPSR and Business System Reviews
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sharepoint
Must be able to work independently or in a team environment
Full time position, some overtime and travel possible
Must be able to obtain and maintain a CAC and SECRET security clearance
